       Our customer wanted to transform an old wedding ring into a pendant:The husband was planning a big anniversary celebration with a new diamond and this new design as a surprise for his wife; she thought her ring needed cleaning and repair. We worked with her diamonds possibilities a). We sketched several design ideas b). We made a very precise technical drawing with the selected design c) We hand fabricated a wax mold to cast into metal d) We set the stones and finish the pendant e) and f).

     Our customer needed three tuxedo buttons to matched previously made custom design men's cufflinks. Understanding that the buttons are required only on very special occasions and the Colombian emeralds we were using were so beautiful, we suggested a versatile piece that carries the buttons in a dragonfly lady's pendant. This piece was sent to the AGTA Spectrum Awards design contest in 2005.

    

Our customer wanted to re-set her diamond solitaire with a matching wedding band to celebrate her anniversary. Due to the sentimental value of her diamonds she wanted to have a design theme which included a heart. .

         

     Recreation of the species " Deer of the air" male scarabs, whose purpose in life is to scare predators with their horns while his female works. The scarabs were cast in 950 silver and made into necklaces and bracelets

      Our customer wanted a special arm bracelet for her second wedding with loose round brilliant cut diamonds, marquise shape sapphires and pink tourmalines, that she has kept since high school.We sketched an idea a). We hand fabricated a wax mold and placed her loose stones in for fitting b) We set stones and finished the piece.

  • De Irisarri Colombian Emeralds

    Each of our precious gemstones has been carefully chosen by Beatriz De Irisarri as a GIA Graduated Gemologist in Bogotá D.C. and imported by Per Carat Jewelry Desing Studio LLC. All emeralds in inventory are from the Muzo mine located in the State of Boyacá in Colombia and have a Certification of origin to assure their quality. They displayed the most pleasant very slightly bluish green color typical of colombian emeralds in assorted varieties of color, tone and saturation (GIA vslbG )

    Considered a gemstones type III by GIA, where it is usual to find natural inclusions ,all our emeralds have a clarity grade that ranges from eye clean to moderately included. All of them have been naturally treated ( AGTA: E) with cedar wood oil to improve clarity as the only enhancement accepted in Colombia since 1997 by the INCONTEC (National Institute of Technical Law and Certification). This treatment is reversible and can be re-applied to the emerald after many years of wear by a reputable jeweler

Martina's ring

18 karat two tone white/yellow gold lady's ring featuring a 0.79 carats oval brilliant Colombian Emerald and two side pear shaped citrines 0.32 carats total weight. The ring is enhanced by 32 small round brilliant cut diamonds that equal 0.24 carats total weight. It is a unique and amazing display of color in a fine ring.

Fleur de Tere-Lis Set

One lady's 14 karat white gold set of pendant and matching drop earrings featuring three pear shaped Colombian Emeralds for a total of 3.36 carats total weigth. The Fleur the Lis components are enhanced with a total of 26 small round brilliant cut diamonds that equal 1.07 carats total weigth. The earrings have leaver back findings and the pendant dangles from a 16"-1.5mm wheat chain.

One-of-a-kind custom design lady's ring made in 18 karat white gold. Features a 2.18 carats Colombian emerald named Lily and chosen by Beatriz De Irisarri at the Emerald District in her homeland Bogota. The stone is one of the Colombian emeralds best color examples. The ring is enhanced with round brilliant cut diamonds, marquise and baguette diamonds in a re-creation of an antique, with contemporary style SOLD
